01 Red Fox
Choosing Your Print
The process of producing canvas prints of an oil painting is called a gicleé (pronounced zhee-glay.) To create a gicleé
requires the original painting to be laid on a special scanning machine to create a file. For these images of the red fox,
white egret and blue heron, I have used a state-of-the-art scanner called Cruze which results in an image that I find
difficult to tell apart from the original.
As this online opportunity is fresh for me, I’ll ask you to please let me know of any difficulty or snag you come across while ordering your new print. I’ll happily gift you something for bringing an issue to me to resolve, rather than having you leave in frustration. Such heartache is unbearable for me.
Sizes and Framing
Original sizes are:
01 Red Fox 20x24
01 White Egret 20 x36
01 Blue Heron 24x30
Each of these are available in your choice of: printed on canvas and stretched on a wooden support frame or printed on
archival paper. All images use an inkjet and are colorfast. While I don’t recommend it, you could soak them for a week in
a bathtub or leave them in a desert for a summer and the image will not bleed or fade.
Because I offer free shipping, I do not supply prints framed. Instead, I recommend that you use a framer in your area both to ensure a safe delivery of my work and to support small businesses in your neighborhood. I will replace any work that is received damaged upon its return, though you will cover associated shipping cost.
I will also provide you contact information for my supplier of ready-made frames. Be aware that non-standard sizes are custom made and generally more costly. This is the case with 01 White Egret. Still, I am willing ship my work to you in a frame if you prefer. In this case both my cost for the frame plus shipping will be added to your order.

Options You Can Expect
Images meant for framing are ¾ inch thick, enabling them to be set into the frame. All three images have the option of
being finished in a style called “gallery wrapped.” Stretcher bars over which the canvas is attached are 1-½ inches thick
resulting in a box-like look where the image continues onto all exposed edges. This contemporary look requires no
framing and is ready to hang.
Works on paper are typically matted then framed under glass. An alternative is to frame the image sandwiched between two panes of glass that are cut larger than the image to create a floating look. It can then be framed with a thin border, if you so choose, by your local framer. Works on paper are shipped in a shipping tube. These are printed by order (usually the day the order is received) and can reasonably be expected to be shipped and delivered within 2 weeks.
For the collectors of my original work, I will debut them here. You can commission me to paint something specific. In the
past I have been commissioned to re-create special occasions, pets, certain landscapes, people's homes and more.
Commissions require communication with me by phone, text or email. Feel free to contact me with any special ideas,
concerns or questions you may have.
